Packed with sing-along classics you loved from school, plus performances from top professionals, a live orchestra and our massed children’s choir. Join us for a nastalgia-filled celebration of assembly classics like ‘This Little Light of Mine’ and ‘He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands,’ all directed by the Principal Director of the All Souls Orchestra.
Saturday 28 September 2024 4pm – St James Muswell Hill, St James Lane, N10 3DB.
Admission costs £10 for adults or for children who are not taking part (young children who do not require a seat are free). Get your tickets here.
We are inviting parents to bring their child(ren) aged between 7-11 to join a massed children’s choir. Children who wish to take part in the massed choir don’t need to have any previous experience or be able to music; they just need a love of singing and enthusiasm for taking part. In order to take part in the massed choir, children do not need to purchase a ticket, but will need to sign up using this form. We will then send you further information about what to wear and a list of the songs with optional links so that your children can practice them if they want to. They should arrive from 2:00pm on the day, ready for a 2:30pm rehearsal workshop where we’ll spend no longer than an hour teaching the songs. (There is no obligation to practice them beforehand.) Children may bring their own snacks or drink if they wish, or we will have some drinks and snacks available. Parents are welcome to stay for the rehearsal if they wish or leave and return to watch the concert at 4:00pm. There will be a 15 minute interval during which refreshments will be on sale and the concert will finish at around 5:30pm.
Take a look at our Sing for the Jubilee concert for a flavour of our last big musical event.
