Pathway for Schools

Pathway resource and support churches to form links with schools in their local community and offer creative, engaging and suitable clubs, assemblies and lessons.

Clubs

St Pathway clubs are open to children of all faiths or none, and are run by a team of Christians, often including leaders from a church near the school, with the aim of helping children explore issues of life and faith in a fun and relevant way. Each session contains a mixture of games, craft, drama, as well as a Bible story told in an engaging and interactive way.

To help make our clubs accessible to all, we do not charge a fee to attend, but welcome donations towards our work. Our current clubs run once a week through school term time, and are often oversubscribed with waiting lists.

Lunch club (30-40 mins)

Afterschool club (60 minutes)

We currently support clubs at St Paul’s and All Hallows’ CE School (Tottenham), St Michael at Bowes CE School (Wood Green), Highfield Primary School (Winchmore Hill), St Johns CE School (Whetstone), Freezywater St Georges (Enfield), St Johns and St James CE School (Edmonton), St Johns Crews Hill CE School, St Michael’s CE School Enfield, St Matthews Ponders End CE school, plus Kensit Evangelical Church and St James Muswell Hill church. New clubs launching Autumn 2025 at Christ Church Crouch End and The Gospel Centre Wightman Lane.

Email clubs@pathwayonline.co.uk to enquire about clubs.

Assemblies

Pathway is best known for our creative and interactive assemblies which are popular with teachers and children alike. Our assemblies are delivered in over 50 schools every half term in Enfield, Barnet and Haringey. Each ten minute assembly retells a story from the Bible and teaches an aspect of the Christian faith in a way suited to the school setting. Our assemblies help schools to fulfil the collective worship requirements and build links between the school and their local community.

This year (2024-2025), our assemblies are looking at ‘Splastastic stories’ – watery stories that teach aspects of Christian baptism.

The Christmas Experience 2025

Last year, more than 2,000 children from 31 schools visited the Christmas Experience. Now you can bring your pupils for another RE visit that they’re sure to remember, which simply couldn’t be replicated in the classroom. We invite you to step back in time to meet the characters from the nativity in this immersive, walk-through theatre experience.
Visits cost £3.75 per child, with every child receiving a gift pack to take away. And if your school has not been to our Christmas Experience before, your first visit is half price! (Subsidies are also available for Pupil Premium on request if costs are prohibitive).
